Faithful In The Little...
"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much (Luke 16:10).
If I am unfaithful in the little, I will be unfaithful in the gifts of Gods grace. Conversely, if I am faithful in the little, I will be faithful in the gifts of Gods grace.
God calls us to be honest stewards of everything we have been given - God is in the details. If we are not trustworthy with what we have been given right now, right here, we are in no way fit to handle the true riches of Gods Kingdom. Integrity is measured in the seemingly insignificant way you handle Gods resources now.
When you were under the fig tree, I saw you (John 1:48).
Oswald Chambers wrote: We presume that we would be ready for battle if confronted with a great crisis, but it is not the crisis that builds something within us - it simply reveals what we are made of already. Do you find yourself saying, "If God calls me to battle, of course I will rise to the occasion"? Yet you wont rise to the occasion unless you have done so on Gods training ground. If you are not doing the task that is closest to you now, which God has engineered into your life, when the crisis comes, instead of being fit for battle, you will be revealed as being unfit. Crises always reveal a persons true character.
No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money (Matthew 6:24)
Jesus says we can have only one master.
Many people spend their entire lives collecting and storing up worldly treasures, only to die and leave it all behind. Their commitment to wealth, prosperity, and position far outweighs their commitment to God. We must remember that: "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil" (1 Timothy 6:10).
Can you honestly say that God, and not money, is your master? Which one occupies more of your thoughts, time, and efforts? Would your spouse, children, pastor, and friends agree?
Choose what is eternal and lasting.
Grow in grace and truth,
